This trip is challenging, with a night in a traditional indigenous home lacking modern comforts, but you will also enjoy two nights at our luxurious Orinoco River Lodge, ensuring a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.
Start your journey with a flight from Bogotá to Inírida, where our team will welcome you at the airport. Enjoy a traditional indigenous lunch at the Resguardo Indígena el Paujil with stunning views of the Inírida River. Then, witness the spectacular convergence of the Guaviare and Inírida rivers before continuing 150 kilometers through the Fluvial Star, stopping briefly at Maviso where five rivers meet. By late afternoon, arrive at our Orinoco River Lodge, where you’ll be greeted with a refreshing drink and enjoy a welcome dinner and an introduction to our Natural Reserve.

We’ll start our day with an early breakfast by the Orinoco River before embarking on a unique adventure. We will navigate the Sipapo River, exploring its waters for about an hour until we reach the Autana River. Our journey will continue to the Piaroa indigenous community of Ceguera, guardians of Cerro Autana. Here, we’ll enjoy a traditional Piaroa lunch, followed by an immersive tour to learn about their customs. In the afternoon, we’ll have the opportunity to swim in the refreshing waters with stunning views of the cerros, offering perfect photo opportunities. In the evening, we’ll dine in a Piaroa house and share their fascinating stories.

We’ll begin our day with an early breakfast in the Piaroa indigenous community before setting off on a challenging 20-kilometer trek upriver towards Laguna Leopoldo. This journey will take us up the cerro, where we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the magical black waters of the lake. After taking in the stunning scenery, we’ll enjoy an outdoor lunch before making our way back to the Orinoco River Lodge. In the evening, we’ll relax on the terrace, savor a delicious dinner, and recharge our energy for the next day’s adventures.

Early in the morning, you will enjoy breakfast at our lodge. Then, embark on a 150 km journey up the Orinoco River, arriving in Inírida after approximately 3.5 hours. Depending on the day and airline availability, you may fly back to Bogotá in the afternoon. If flights are not available, our team has arranged visits to the indigenous community of El Coco. Here, you can see ancient rock petroglyphs and witness the confluence of the dark waters of the Inírida River with the clear waters of the Guaviare River at the birthplace of the Estrella Fluvial de Inírida. You will stay overnight in a hotel in Inírida, preparing for your flight back to Bogotá the following morning.

If flights are included in the package, the client must pay 100% of the flight cost at the time of booking. If the booking is made within 18 days of the travel date, full payment is required.
